After the judges comments

The Judge on the mono comp was well informed with her critiques and what was needed to bring out the picture more. I have not done and have never really thought about doing mono shots, but though I would have a go and jump in feet first.

Well my punt was meet with the comments that in the picture would be real good as just the legs so I have posted it here for your comments does it work or not ?

p.s. I have been too lazy to clone out the railings, but that was advised as well.

The before the crop

better as a crop ?

I agree that the lake and other objects in the background are distracting, but I think the "legs-only" crop doesn't work at all. The original photo contains all the faces and they're the most interesting part of the picture. So I think the best plan would be to cut as much of the clutter as possible out of the pic, clone out any that remains, brighten the faces and darken the corners of the frame to ensure that the faces are what we see. (I'll add an attempt but it's getting late and I've had a hard day!)

Thank you Rod for your comments. My thoughts where that the legs didn't work either but everyone has a "view" smile

Your edit does add to the picture next time i'll have to ask them to line up the other way for the race for the correct light. hehe
