This year the wait for autumn colour seems to be long! Many trees have been showing colour but you can't help but feel the best is yet to come. Whilst walking along the river at Windsor this afternoon, Friday 14th Oct 05 I at last started to see what I have been waiting for. Colour.

The sky was very overcast, and the light flat but it wasn't too cold and very dry under foot.

The swans were as keen as ever for me to feed them, but also the ducks, geese gulls and other normal residents of the waters edge were all strutting around proudly.

Hopefully the deep golden colours will now spread across the district and make this week end a great opportunity to take photos.
