Cardiff Bay
Chris and Sharon led the latest trip in the club’s development programme. The choice of subject this time being the urban landscape of Europe’s largest waterfront redevelopment (formerly the World’s largest coal exporting port).
9 club members (plus a few guests) ventured over the Severn. We met in a well known coffee shop to discover that it’s not only Nikon verses Canon, PC verses Mac, Print verses Projected that polarises MCC members. Apparently, Starbucks verse Costa can induce equally passionate views.
A quick tour followed and after the early afternoon cloud and hail had cleared, the photography started in earnest.
The choice of subjects varied from the modern architecture of the Senedd building the Millennium Centre (both internal and external) to the more derelict structures on the fringes of the redevelopment – it may look like a rusty old lock gate to most people but it’s 4GB of photographic heaven to Mike K.
Well done to Chris Roper who managed to photograph with at least 3 different mediums (digital, black and white 35mm film and medium format). Well done to her daughter for carrying her equipment/tripod.
Well done Masha for buying the welsh cakes.
Well done to Mike - on time for 2 successive club events- is it becoming a habit?
Early evening provided an opportunity to produce low light images in and around Roald Dahl Plass.
By 7.00pm, some 6 and half hours after arriving, it was time to pack up and head home.
Here are some images from the day.

Terrific stuff Chris. Well done.

We go to an interesting place, crammed (appropriate word) with architecture - Mike does close-ups and I do 'shadows and reflections' (to follow). Mike, do you reckon we need treatment?! If you hear of a group therapy, let me know.

I have added a date sort command. Thanks to JA for his guidance on this. In theory, the pictures I have added from Richard, should appear at one end of the gallery, to make them easier to find for those who are returning to this page. Michael.
