Peak District 16-19 October 2009

Paul on Baslow Edge, waiting for the right moment

Paul Franklin organised and lead a group of nine landscape photographers to the Peak District for a weekend. They stayed at Fox House, convenient for lots of lovely gritstone crags and a tree-lined gorge for the brighter parts of the day.

The weather cooperated at times, and at its best was lovely. The bad bits were only cloudy at the wrong time, and it didn't rain once.

On Friday evening most of us were on Baslow Edge looking north towards Curbar Edge

On Saturday before dawn we walked up to Over Owler Tor via Millstone Edge.

During Saturday we visited Padley Gorge and Burbage Brook

Saturday evening found us at Stanage Edge

Dawn on Sunday was fine at Higger Tor overlooking Hathersage Moor

. . . and later on Sunday morning we found Bolehill Quarry above Hathersage

Some of us wandered off at times, and the random shots are gathered here!
