We went for a brief pre Sunday lunch walk aroud the park mainly following "The Cut".

Good use of a wide aperture to throw the background out of focus on the flower Matt.

Beware anyting in the background that's man-made. The vertical straight line intersecting the RHS of the flower is obviously not natural. If you'd moved about a bit, could you have excluded it?

Hi Rod, thank you for your comments regarding (4). Within this group of flowers, to achieve the small depth of field, I felt that it was necessary to choose the main bloom photographed as the in-focus candidate, and even then the camera angle was important, so unfortunately I was rather stuck with a distraction.
