The Marc Aspland Challenge, 2011
Mark Aspland is the Chief Photographer of The Times. In November 2011 he was an excellent speaker on "Photographing Sport" at Maidenhead Camera Club. He then challenged the members to send him
their best sports images. Marc reviewed and judging them while he was with the England soccer team in Denmark.

a day out with Marc Aspland, using Marc's equipment, at an event of his choice, and he selected the Calcutta Cup at Twickenham on Sunday 13th March 2011. . . . . . . . . . .

Marc Aspland's visit and the Challenge Competition kick off a new project
‘Sport in Focus 2012- capturing the Olympic spirit’ launched in March 2011 by Maidenhead Camera Club in partnership with Windsor Photographic Society. This is an on-line sport photography competition, open to all in the Royal Borough, which will run from May 2011 until April 2012. The Sport in Focus 2012 Project is supported by the Louis Baylis Trust and the Kidwell’s Trust
