PSE levels used to widen white to black span - ja

That's not at all bad! There's an issue with the brightness of the top left area, which draws attention away from the main face and towards the less interesting (no detail) back view. Also it looks maybe a bit 'low key' with a range from blacks at 020202 to the top grey at d2d2d2.

I have tried to spread it a bit in PSE 'levels' and to reduce the top left a bit, but I do not think I have improved it any! Alternatively, try frobbing the yellow or red sliders in the Lightroom HSE/B&W panel?
