RHS Wisley Garden, 30th October 2010

Maidenhead Camera Club is a sociable, democratic and only slightly disorganised body. There was an alternative walk on 30th October to the world-famous gardens at RHS Wisley. It was attended by at least two mcc members who did not actually meet up, though the EXIF data on the pictures shows they were both there at the same time.

For those who have not met it before, infra-red shots, using a deep red filter, record the heat emission rather than the light reflection of a subject. Live plants are bright; dead wood is dark. Clouds are bright; blue sky is dark.

Frame 5 is sharp where it is meant to be. Frame 6 is not and the apples are 'soft' - because I forgot to adjust the depth of focus to allow for infra-red wavelengths. Frame 9 is as the photographer intended, though.
