I thought I'd better get a snap of these before I ate one (the left one. It was delicious). Does anyone like the photo? I sharpened the one on the left with Unsharp Mask (0.3px, 75%) and the one on the right with the Adjust Sharpness command (same settings). Does anyone know how these two tools differ, and when we should use which?
Note on sharpening removed 21 Jan 2010 due to being out of date.
Subjectively, I much prefer the right-hand picture. The colours and colour transitions appear to be better preserved; there is less halo formation and fringing at high contrast junctions; and it looks more edible.
Rod
Paul here - this is just a test post to see if it works - I think the rh one looks healthier due to higher fruit content

Ah, but then you wouldn't have been able to ask the question. But in any case my wife has eaten the one on the right, so it can be closed.
Next week - can you use unsharp mask on lemon juice? And how many layers do you need for a cake? These questions must be answered.
