Thanks for setting the ball rolling, Rod! Here's my 4 pence worth...

Lets hope there is loads more pictures to be added as this lot of snow must have gave lots of chances (if you can still stand upright on the ice!)

I added "Ashfield" to Mike in the comment box for your first one Mike, to avoid confusion with lesser Mikes like Kiely etc. Nice images BTW.

I like the light in the war memorial pics Chris (39-41). How natural was it? (or did you
** up the WB on your camera?) Either way it's very atmospheric.

In pic 47, why has the car got four back and four front wheels? I haven't edited it substantially. Exposure time was 1/25 second.

In pic 47, where is the snow?
29 Dec 2009 - 21:25 -- RodBird
With eight wheels in the picture there just wasn't space.

at 1/25 sec the car driver should have been done with a speeding ticket

Damn that Mr Bird - I really liked "Frost Feathers" and would have happily taken credit. MK
Thanks to everyone for fantastic snow images! Now I've seen more than what was actually on display from my kitchen window (on the day of the frost needles, by the time I finally got out of the house it started raining - I nearly cried. But I didn't.). It also felt like a good snowball fight

We ought to do it more often!!!

I think this page has been very successful. (Well done for having the idea & taking the initiative Masha).
What do you think of having a new "photo-blog" page for every month?
06 Jan 2010 - 20:11 -- JohnAshford
Hi Rod - not all that much, actually. 'Every month' things tend to get stuffy and 'for its own sake'. However for special events, you may be on to a good thing - how about blogs to illustrate:
Opening of Crossrail; Jubilee River overflows into Town Centre; Snow in Maidenhead; Department store opens in High Street; Red Kites attack pet dogs in Maidenhead Parks . . . or whatever.
07 Jan 2010 - 23:38 -- RodBird
Good points John. But we haven't tried a monthly blog, so it isn't really fair to condemn it as "stuffy" in advance.

Pic 97 (Chris Ribbon) = great.
