Walk to celebrate the End of British Summertime - 27 Oct 2007

Motley Crew by Ed Doughty

The first of our walks of the 2007-8 season took place on Saturday 27th October to celebrate the end of British Summertime. Starting from Cookham Moor we went on a 'DAMP and DISMAL' tour up through the Winter Hill Golf Course through the high farmland of Cookham Dean before descending down to Cockmarsh and along the River Thames back to the Moor. The weather was typical of the most of this summer, cloudy and dull but the rain stayed away and there were still plenty of photo opportunities to be found. Below are a few of my photos with hopefully some from the rest of the crew to follow! DISMAL

Some shots from Mark added - thanks, come on the rest of you lets see what you were shooting! DISMAL

OK. OK. I've been as fast as I can getting my pics up on the website, some of us have had decorating to do! DAMP

OK it has been a while since I did any web pages. Can't work out why one of the batch converted files is twice the size of all the others. It was the thistle. Anyway, the images from the rivets on the golf course railway bridge to the monochrome boathook mooring thing, are mine. Michael.

DAMP, next time we go on a walk, try and look a bit happier! June.

Some images from Chris added. DISMAL
