MCC In Action

The club runs events and field trips for all members. MCC in Action is about getting out and about - with a camera. A broad range of photographic interests are on offer, typically in smallish and informal groups, each with an organiser. Events include local walks, overnight trips, international trips abroad, visits to exhibitions and museums and some hands-on studio work.

Foundation to Photography

The club runs a Foundation to Photography programme which is an informal meeting. It is run by MCC members, for MCC members. A wide variety of photographic topics are discussed and explored. Friendly critique sessions for both prints and PDI's. Foundation to photography is aimed at new and less experienced members. The meetings for 2024-25 will be mainly held on Zoom on Thursday evening at 7:30pm

MCC Academy

The MCC Academy meets on the last Thursday of the month during the club season. The aim of the group is to encourage members to advance their photography beyond MCC by applying for RPS and other distinctions or awards. And also to explore individual projects or examine advanced techniques and artistic interpretations.

MCC External Competitions

MCC External Competitions is where a wide variety of external competitions are available to all members. MCC enters a number of competitions, such as the CACC Rosebowl, where the best images from the previous season are selected to represent the club. There are also a range of local, national and international competitions that members are welcome to enter individually.
